Fantastic! I had concerns based on reviews, but at check in I quickly realized they were not the current situation. The managers were both present, super friendly and very helpful. They offered us a selection of spots, fishing info, travel/direction info, and info on the park. She was sure to tell me they have cats running around, (I saw maybe 3) which is a blessing as this is in swamp country. The kitties keep the snakes & mice away! The cats never came near us and we're not an issue. So not sure about other reviewer. The park is very pretty and I would definitely stay again. Again, the manager was super nice and going out of her way to be so.
Nice place clean and relaxing hurt by storm but moving on giving thumbs up keep going
This place is a nightmare! The management is obsessive and micro manages everything! There were clearly so many rules not being followed by people and yet our tiny little dog couldn't take two steps from the trailer without management driving by and griping. We couldn't even sit outside and enjoy an evening of barbecuing without the crazy old lady driving by and staring. No privacy, no respect, pick and choose rules. I felt like we were constantly being watched. We were the quietest people there and yet we got harassed constantly. I was even confronted by management for my dog being outside even though it was on a leash. She claimed to "not see the leash". The property is poorly cared for. Washroom and shower house are in some serious need of TLC. I also love how a tiny harmless dog has to be on a leash every second, and yet management can have a ton of mangy, wild cats (that definitely are not updated on rabies shots, etc) roaming around. They got all over my car and pisses in my husbands grill. Disgusting!
This place was very nice, they had a lot of flooding during Harvey, but are making improvements, managers were so kind and helpful showed us the spots that were available and let us pick what we wanted. We chose down by the water for the view. You do here some interstate noise but didn't bother us and the convenience of being close to the interstate was good. Used our Passport America was very reasonable for our 2 night stay. We are full time RVers and don't do "fancy resorts" we like the quiet homey places. People were friendly and gave us local information, we wanted. Would stay here again they sprayed for mosquitos which close to a bayou is a blessing made a big difference. They are putting in New cement pads which will be awesome when completed. We stay in 40ft Motorhome towing a Jeep.
